Delta Kappa Epsilon is one of four fraternities with active students at Lafayette College. Although the Greek Life system has contracted at Lafayette College in recent decades, there is still a vibrant Greek Life community. General Greek Life information is available at Lafayette College’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
The four remaining fraternities are Delta Kappa Epsilon, Delta Upsilon, Phi Kappa Psi, and Zeta Psi. Most recently, Kappa Delta Rho volunteered to close its doors temporarily rather than go before the Student Conduct Committee and risk getting de-recognized by Lafayette College. Chi Phi seeks to repopulate its Chapter House with current Lafayette College students. A history of fraternity life is available here.
The active sororities at Lafayette College include Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Pi Beta Phi. A history of sorority life is available here.
A detailed history of Greek Life at Lafayette College is available in the Special Collections section of Lafayette College Archives. Professor Emeritus of History and Archivist Emeritus Albert W. Gendebien ’34 compiled this comprehensive history of Greek Life at Lafayette College.
